Food Relief Today. Food Sovereignty Tomorrow.
The Blessings Bee Foundation bridges the critical gap between food insecurity and food sovereignty for
Colorado Springs residents who fall between traditional assistance programs and financial stability.
We provide immediate nutritional support and long-term
self-sufficiency education to individuals and families navigating significant life transitions.
Food insecurity doesn’t always look the way people imagine; it is often hidden behind a full-time job, a tidy home, or a smile.
Traditional aid systems have a devastating structural flaw: they leave a massive gap where families earn too much to qualify
or federal assistance, yet not enough to actually survive the soaring cost of living.
We call this population The Missing Middle.
They are our neighbors, coworkers, seniors, and working families who remain invisible
to traditional support networks until a full-blown crisis hits.
What does The Missing Middle looks like?
Working Families: Hardworking parents forced to choose between paying the electric bill and buying fresh, nutrient-dense groceries.
Seniors on Fixed Incomes: Elders stretching a single meal across multiple days just to make ends meet in an inflating economy.
Sacrificing Parents: Mothers and fathers quietly skipping their own dinners so their children can have a full plate.
Full-Time Workers: Single individuals working 40+ hours a week but living on one meal a day because basic essentials have outpaced their paychecks.
We believe that accessing basic nutrition should never be a bureaucratic hurdle, an invasive interrogation, or a source of shame.
The Blessings Bee Foundation operates on a Low-Barrier Access Model. Through our signature Bundles O' Blessings program, we provide immediate, nutrient-dense food bundles to stabilize households during critical 90-day transitions.
We don't demand proof of hardship, we don't subject you to administrative surveillance, and there is no "why" required.
We focus on relational accountability and trust.
We believe you.
We respect your dignity.
Most importantly, we are here to ensure that no one in our community has to navigate The Missing Middle alone.
